Context Casa Iryna was envisioned as a meeting point between Italian and Mediterranean culture, combining the warmth and intimacy of Italian hospitality with the lightness, texture, and sensory richness commonly found throughout Mediterranean living. The challenge was to create an identity that felt refined and immersive, while still carrying a sense of comfort and human connection. Approach The creative direction explored the balance between these two cultural influences through a visual language centered on atmosphere and emotion rather than excess. From the beginning, the intention was to avoid the clichés often associated with traditional Italian restaurants and instead create something quieter, more tactile, and naturally sophisticated. The Mediterranean influence came through softer tones, organic textures, generous negative space, and a more sunlit, breathable aesthetic that evokes coastal architecture and slow living. In contrast, the Italian side of the identity appeared through typography choices, editorial-inspired layouts, and a stronger sense of elegance and tradition. Together, these elements created a visual system that feels both elevated and welcoming. Every design decision was made to reinforce the feeling of entering a home rather than simply a restaurant. The result is an identity that translates culture through mood and materiality, blending Italian refinement with Mediterranean warmth to create an experience that feels intimate, timeless, and emotionally grounded.
