Context: This project began as a job assessment and ultimately became the work that secured my position at the company. While the brief only required a homepage banner and a marketing email, I saw it as an opportunity to push the idea further by creating a small, more complete campaign experience. Approach: I chose to build the concept around spring, a season that, to me, represents colour returning, brighter days, and a renewed sense of calm and comfort. It felt like a natural direction for promoting outdoor furniture, as people begin reconnecting with outdoor living and their homes start opening up again. Creatively, I wanted the work to feel more elevated than traditional retail advertising. To align with DOT’s positioning as a premium Canadian retailer, I leaned into a more editorial visual language, using generous whitespace, serif typography, and a quieter, more refined composition. My intention was to frame the furniture not just as products, but as part of the atmosphere and emotional experience of the home. I also incorporated the brand’s red dot as a subtle recurring element, allowing it to act as a recognizable signature throughout the identity.
